1. Binder Check
  • Students turn in binders to college tutors

2. Silent Reading (25 minutes)
  • One Dialectical Journal entry (50 word minimum response)
  • REMEMBER: quotes, page numbers and word count
3. OMAM One Pager
  • Choose a scene from Chapter one in Of Mice and Men
    • Find a quote that represents the scene. Write the quote across the top of your paper, include the page number.
    • Draw a picture of the scene in color and to the best of your ability
    • Write 3-5 sentences across the bottom to explain why this scene is important to the story.

4. Homework/Study Groups /Silent Reading If Extra Time
  • Work on homework or classwork for academic classes
  • Complete one page of Cornell Notes using the Learning Log questions
  • Complete one of Ms. Cadwell's grammar or CST practice packets
  • Read quietly
